5 Tips to Market Coaching Business During The Holidays

What are some of the things you can do to use this opportunity and market your coaching services during the Holidays?

Based on the most recent International Coach Federation (ICF) data, there are 71,000 professional coaches worldwide and 23,000 coaches based in North America. Having a coaching business that is VISIBLE and THRIVING has become the number one challenge as a business owner in this industry.

“Being visible for your business, especially as a coach, is key to growing a successful business.”

-Michelle Kuei

Being visible doesn’t have just to include video or doing more LIVE– it can be anything that you do to put yourself in front of more people – and most importantly, the RIGHT people for your business.

Standing out is tough. If you want to get people to your business this holiday season, you have to advertise. There are plenty of ways to make yourself known.

Being visible (i.e., marketing) sounds like it should be easy.

Post on social media and pop a blog post out every now and again, and you’re sorted, right? Wrong. Without the right strategy and tools, this is one of the main reasons why so many startup coaches struggle to get clients and quickly feel burnout. Being visible for your business, especially as a coach, is key to growing a successful business.

The holiday season is one of the BEST times to pick new coaching clients. You know people would be shopping during the holidays; they are constantly looking for new ideas to gift, but the biggest challenge people have around the holiday season is the stress that comes.

What can you offer to help people eliminate or reduce stress over the holiday season? If you offer coaching services, this is the perfect niche area for you during the holidays.

The good news is that the holidays are a great time to grow and deepen key relationships, and when the New Year rolls around, many of these people will be eager to work with a coach. The problem is if you are starting your coaching business this year, you are likely to be competing against the other 71,000 professional coaches who are also using this opportunity to keep their business moving.

If you are trying to grow your business this year but would like to get a head start on the visibility of your coaching business, listen and subscribe to the Make It Visible Podcast, you will hear inspirational stories on business and mindset, along with strategies and tips that will help you grow a thriving coaching business on this journey. To get you started, here are five ways to market yourself during the holidays:

Offer A Bonus to Your Coaching Package.

Psychologically people gravitate toward “MORE” profits over “LESS” losses. While both strategies are equally effective, offering a BONUS carries a more positive sentiment versus a discount. The bonus often requires you to purchase at a given price to receive the offer, whereas a discount is applied directly. The price you purchase is reduced.

Gift Cards, Coupon Offer

Generate printable gift cards, and coupon offers to share with your friends and family and offer to give a friend, bring a friend option to increase your startup brand awareness. Offer your complimentary discovery session as an incentive to get new referrals and meet new prospects.

Market your Opt-In

The holidays are a time to focus on the most important aspects of life. We take time out to be with family, share gifts and give to those less fortunate. Whether intentional or not, feelings of gratitude are often woven throughout these annual traditions and can positively impact our mental health. Hosting challenges that support your clients in achieving their goals, letting go of old habits, and starting new is a great way to connect with your audience, create brand awareness and service those in need to decompress during the end of the year.

The holiday season is one of the best times to spread some festive cheer and present your coaching business more intimately. People are more prone to affiliate with coaches whom they like and trust- so feel free to use a warmer and kinder approach to your messaging.

Share holiday memories, recipes, and traditions in your emails and on your social media pages. Tell your brand’s story with an uplifting angle can make a world of difference in how your coaching business can prepare itself for the next year.
